The U.S. Was Built Around Christianity

I debated a 30 year old man the other day. He is the son of a friend of mine. And my friend wanted me to debate him. And this is because I share the same values as my friend. Yet she feels discouraged because her son does not share the same values that she shares.

So, I took up the challenge and debated this young man. And he started out by telling me that he believes Churches are just about making money. And I responded by saying this:

The purpose of a Church is not to make money. The purpose of a church is to create a stable foundation for which to raise children under. It's an established institution for helping mom's and dad's develop the same strong values and morals that they have.

And if you are having problems in your life, you should not look at the Church and try to tear the Church down. What you should do is look at yourself and find a way to better yourself. For the Church is an institution that has been developed over thousands of years. It is a solid structure and has been very successful at helping children grow up into successful members of society.

Even before studies were ever done on the subject, leaders of various civilizations understood that value of faith and religion in developing young people. And so, every single civilization that has ever been developed has had a solid foundation based on some religion. And, as it is, the most successful religion as far as developing the most successful nations in the world up to this point is Christianity.

It is through Christianity that, over the years, people in Britain became more and more free. It was the British who signed the Magna Carta. And it was Christian Britain's who developed what is not the United States of America. It is through the values and morals devised through the Christian Faith that has made America the most successful nation in the history of the world.

Sure, Churches need to have money to stay alive. So they champion their members to donate money to the Church. As, if the Churches fall, so too will our great nation. And if we do not continue to teach this, our youth will forget this. They will forget what built this great nation. And, if the Churches fall, so too will our nation.

Without Christianity, the people will fall into what existed before Christianity. The world will become more Paganistic, where the main goal in your life was to make YOURSELF happy. And if you are putting yourself before your God and before your nation, chaos will ensue.
