There's this old saying that the Customer Comes First. I always debated against this old theory, considering that if I'm dead, the customer would have no one to talk with.
I think you need to take care of yourself first, considering if you don't feed yourself you might get sick. If you don't take the time to take your medicine, you might get sick. What good would you be to the patient if you didn't take care of yourself and were sick.
Now you must prioritize here, because doing CPR on a 3 year old boy who's not breathing is more important than feeding yourself. But if you have three breathing treatments that need to be done, and the patient's aren't short of breath, there's no reason you can't take a quick break.
This is just a thought anyway.
