Urinary incontinence common COPD symptom

I wrote a while back about the signs and symptoms of COPD here.  Now new evidence might induce COPD experts to add urinary incontinence as a symptoms of COPD.

Nursingtimes.net reports that researchers studied COPD patients in Sweden and concluded that 50 percent of women and 30 percent of men with COPD reported incontinence.  Likewise, those with urinary incontinence were noted to have a higher body mass index.

Urinary incontinence might not be something useful in diagnosing a person with COPD, yet it's something that should be considered when teaching such patients how to cope with their illness.
