Is asthma considered a disability?

Your Question: Is asthma considered a disability

My humble answer: With modern wisdom and medicine most asthmatics are able to live a normal active life. so asthma is normally not considered a disability. In fact, you can't even fake bad asthma because if you try for social security you will have to do a pulmonary function test, and the FEV1 cannot be faked. However, there are rare cases where asthma gets so bad it leads to lung scarring. This type of asthma is referred to as COPD and may qualify the person for disability.
