I'm going to encourage you all to go over to asthma mom and read an excellent post she wrote about airway remodeling in asthma patients.
The next time I have an asthma patient who keeps coming back to the emergency department because she is non-compliant with her preventative medicine, I'm going to give her a copy of this post. Sometimes, in the medical field, nothing works better than some good old scare tactics.
I have more to say about this, and I will do so tomorrow evening.
